Using the Right Oil

Not all engine oil is the same, and fitting the wrong specification can cause real problems, particularly on modern engines with variable valve timing, turbochargers, or diesel particulate filters. At A Hedley Motor Engineers , we always use the correct oil grade and specification for your vehicle, and we replace the oil filter at the same time as standard.

Intervals

For vehicles within manufacturer warranty, we follow the manufacturer’s recommended service interval. For older vehicles, we recommend an oil and filter change every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Some turbocharged or high-performance engines benefit from more frequent changes and we’ll advise based on your vehicle if relevant.
